Chapter Sixteen

The instant the door was shut, Buffy turned to face Giles, straddling his lap.

"Hi."

Giles smiled and kissed her, deeply and thoroughly, before answering, and when he did, it was a whisper against her lips. "Hi."

His slayer grinned against his mouth, leaning closer. "Here we are, all alone in a dorm room. Whatever shall we do with ourselves?"

Giles tilted his head, seeming to think. "Let me think for a minute." He glanced around the room. "Well, first off, not here." Ignoring Buffy's pout, he stood, keeping her where she was, so she had to wrap her legs around his waist.

She giggled and did that, also wrapping her arms around his neck, though with his balance and her strength it wasn't necessary. "Ok. So, where, then?"

The watcher chuckled, starting for the door. "You'll see." He tilted his head as he reached for the doorknob, his face and tone getting serious. "Do you mind going out like this? I can put you down, if you like."

She stretched up, putting her throat at level with his mouth, then bent her head, holding her throat still, and started nibbling his ear, whispering. "Why?"

A very feral grin, that possibly might have made her nervous if she'd seen it, crossed his face, and he opened the door.

He headed down the hall to the stairs, tilting his head for her a bit and kissing over her throat. Neither of them noticed the stares they were getting from the few students in the dorms that afternoon...or from the Dean's 'special case'...also known as his snitch.

Kimberly McManhon watched Buffy and her 'friend' go down the stairs with a hawk's eye. The two girls in that dorm room had always insisted this man was just a friend. Their story had been corroborated by the young couple that constantly seemed to be hanging around the dorm room; both were students, Kimberly had found on further investigation, but didn't live in this section of the dorms, though you couldn't tell from how often they were here.

Kimberly, or 'Kim' to her friends, who were few and far between, unless they wanted something, had come up here to check and see what was going on. She'd gotten reports about a gang at a party the night before, and that it had *seemed* to be led by Buffy and her 'friend', though no one who talked to her, apparently, was willing to swear to it.

Seeing them, and how they were dressed, not to mention *attached* to each other, Kim was suddenly positive it *was* them.

Being in a gang was cause for expulsion from most high schools. She'd just have to convince the dean that it was reason for a college as well.

Given her influence over him, that shouldn't be too difficult.
