Chapter 4:

Buffy was sitting behind her desk making notes, while Duncan was still talking with a first-years Hufflepuff's. Her first class ended. She loved it. First the students were scared and intimidated by her. But with a few gentle words and smiles she had won them over. Duncan was a big help. He had a lot of Xander in him. She had no doubt, that he could intimidate a vampire out of his pants. But the children would have overrun him, if she wasn't there to give them a stern look to hush them down. He was full of stories and anecdotes. She loved to listen to them just like the children. He of course exaggerate, but in a way you knew he did. In real he was modest man. If you would compare his official report with is unofficial one. You would see that he let other wizard have credit for his work.

She didn't really look forward to her next class. It wasn't because she had to teach her sister. Dawn didn't always listen to her and lately the relationship was a little strained. They made a promise that in class Dawn would listen and Buffy wouldn't embarrass her. Her first lesson had been with Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws. There was a friendly rivalry between those Houses. But the next were Gryffinors and Slytherins, they were at a full scale war.

A few of the students entered busy with whispering. She picked a few words up. 'Dawn' 'that Muggle' 'Snape' '110 points' 'bloody brilliant'. She pointed at one of the students. "You" she winked him to come closer. The room was instant quiet. The student didn't look happy. He didn't know what he did wrong. He stood nervously in front of the desk. With a more friendlier voice, she didn't want to scare him. "What is your name?"

"Seamus Finnigan. Professor Summers" He was nervous, you could hear it in his voice.

"What happened between Professor Snap and my sister?" Buffy directly came to the point.

She could see the conflict in him. On the one hand he was eager to tell the story, but on the other hand he didn't wan to rat her out or get her in trouble with her sister. "I'm going to hear it eventually from Professor Snape. It would be in her best interest if a friend would tell me first"

That tipped the scale. "Professor Snape was taking points away form Dawn. If I may say unjust. She was calm and smiling. Then he picked on Neville to make a potion. He forbid Dawn to help him. But there was no bloody way he could make it without help. Dawn just pointed him in the right direction. Professor Snape saw it as helping and deducted points. She told him he was" Seamus stopped to think about it. "Ehh, unfair, childish. But with more words. He was furious. In total he deducted 110 points" Buffy repeated the words with her lips. Buffy was confused, because Seamus wasn't upset about the lost points. He beamed even. Seamus saw her face. "I know what you are thinking, why aren't I upset about the lost points" Buffy leant back and nodded. "The best is still to come and worth the lost of points. The bell rang, she smiled and packed her stuff. Professor Snap was of course confused, they were middle in an argument. She then told him, he couldn't deduct those 110 point from the Gryffinor House, because she isn't a Gryffinor only a guest. You should have seen his face" Seamus was grinning and Buffy bursted out in laughter.

"I think Little Miss is just like her big sister" Duncan added. He overheard the conversation.

Buffy stopped laughing and got her composure back. "You can sit down Mr. Finnigan"

She stood up, went around the desk and leant on it with her arms crossed and staring at the doorway. The students in the class were quiet and only whispered now and them. The newcomers were shocked at the stare Buffy gave them, but relieved when the gaze didn't move from the door. They quickly understood who she was waiting for. The Gryffinors were concerned that Dawn got in trouble. The Slytherins loved the notion of her getting in trouble.

Draco entered the room and Buffy smiled at him. She thought it was funny, how much he looked like Spike. Spike was one of the reason she left Sunnydale. But it felt comfy and familiar to have a Spike around even if it was awkward. At least this one was warm-blooded. And behind him Dawn entered with company.

Dawn stopped in her tracks and Harry bumped into her. He wanted to say something, but saw the look in Buffy's eyes. That said him to sit down quickly. He said a quick 'good luck' and went to his seat with the rest following his suit. Dawn stood there all alone in the door entrance. "Couldn't stay one day out of trouble, not even the first class" Dawn looked ashamed down. "Mr. Finnigan was so kind and told me his version" Dawn gave him the look and he shrunk a little. "Don't give him the look. He portrayed you in the best of light. I'm planning to talk with Snape later. But first I want to talk with you after class and you can explain exactly what happened" With a firm voice. "Now sit down"

Dawn hung her head down and walked toward her seat. "Yes, Buffy"

"What kind of stupid name is Buffy?" Darco spilled it out before he knew it. He was shocked about what he said. Buffy looked at him for a few moments.

"20 points from Slytherin for insulting a teacher. Next time you insult a teacher or anybody else, Mr. Malfoy, try apologising it might save you a lot of trouble" Buffy waited another moment. "I'm waiting Mr. Malfoy"

Draco didn't know what to say. Dawn turned to him. "Hey, mini-Spike. She's waiting for you to say sorry"

Draco's braincells were starting to work again. "Sorry, Professor Summers" His braincells weren't working at optimum, because he even sounded apologetic.

"Dawn don't call Mr. Malfoy mini-Spike" Buffy didn't wait for her to response. "Before I start the lesson I'm going to tell you about my first class. First-years Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws" She paused and gave the class a faint smile. "I enjoyed teaching them and they enjoyed the class. The point I'm making here is. The more I enjoy teaching, the more you will benefit from it. Keep your hate and dislike, please out of the class"

Without waiting for eany response. "This class is divided in two parts. Wand Defence and Wandless Defence. There are two written exams which would include both subjects in each exam. There would be practical evaluations through out the whole year. And those, who needed to be tested at the end of the year, will have a practical test. Any question so far"

To her surprise Draco put his hand up. "Yes, Mr. Malfoy?"

"Why would we have to take Wandless Defence. We are no Muggles. At least most of us" The last he sneered in a mumble.

Buffy heard it, but ignored it. "Because Mr. Malfoy. I could break your wand and you would be dead if you meet something that goes bump in the dark" Draco swallowed because it sounded close to at threat even if she said it with a matter of fact voice.

Hermione had her hand up. "Yes, Miss. Ganger?"

"Can we get extra credit, if we take the practical text at the end of the year, when we don't have to?"

Buffy looked at Duncan, he shrugged and nodded. "Yes, you can" Dawn put up her hand. "Dawn?"

"Hermione started a research project on her own about the Slayer and asked my help. So I thought we could get extra credit for it" Dawn was looking hopeful.

Buffy smiled. "Why not. I want to see your weekly progress. Before Christmas break I want a progress report and at the end of the year I want a 20 pages report"

"Are there any other question? Miss?"

"Pansy Parkingson, Professor. Did you really worked with two slayers?"

She expected this answer. Her previous class had the same question. "Yes. I was there when the first one died and met her replacement" Buffy kept her face blank, but for those who knew her could see the sorrow in her eyes.

"Where is she?" Hermione asked curious.

"Somewhere in California. Don't ask me where exactly or who she is? He identity is a secret"

"How come you know?" Ron flipped out.

"She tried to kill my boyfriend" Buffy could read their next question on their faces. "And no you may not know why? I'm 'not' answering any personal questions"

There were some disappointing faces, especially from the girls. "I heard the Slayer is 8 feet tall" A Slytherin girl stated.

"No 10 feet" Came from the other side of the room.

Before Buffy could answer the question. Dawn was double from laughing and holding her belly. Everybody looked strange at her. Buffy smiled and waited until Dawn was calmed down.

"I think Dawn already answered your question. The Slayer comes in normal human sizes. Some of them are bigger and some are smaller" Buffy overlooked the class for a moment. "The Slayer isn't in the lesplan. But she will pop up now and then. We'll start with the reason why the Slayer, also known as the Vampire Slayer, exist. Vampires. Open your book on page 5"

The rest of the class went peacefully. The Slytherins didn't lose any more points. Both Houses were mesmerized by the stories Buffy and Duncan told. Of course Buffy had the strangest vampire kill story. The glass of holywater on her 18th birthday. Duncan came in second with the funniest story. A bucket, full of holywater, above a door. The class was over before it started.

"Homework. For next class I want one page on how you would kill a vampire. This doesn't mean the best way, but your way. Please one part muggle way and one part wizard way" She looked at Hermione. "Miss Ganger, I would appreciated it if you wouldn't write more than two pages. I don't have the time to read a novel" Hermione went red from embarrassed and Ron laughed. "And Mr. Weasley. I expect at least half a page" This time Ron was embarrassed and the rest of the class laughed. "Class dismissed"

A few of the students stayed behind to ask some more questions. Hermione was one of them. "Is it true that there is only one Slayer at a time"

Buffy smiled. "A Slayer is called, when the previous one dies. There is no other way to call a slayer only by dead. The only way to have two Slayer is when you bring the previous from Death's door. Does that answer your question Miss. Ganger?" Hermione nodded. "Now, would you please excuse me. I have a date with my sister" Buffy saw Harry open his mouth. "My sister doesn't need any protection from me, Mr. Potter. If you have no question for Mr. Baker you can leave" Buffy tone told them to leave and they did.

Dawn was still sitting on her seat. Buffy went to sit in front of her. "I'm sorry I didn't want to disappoint you" Dawn looked down.

Buffy smiled and put a finger under her chin to make her look at her. "I'm not disappointed at you. I'm not happy either. How did you lose 110 points. Seamus only told me the highlights"

"Well, I only lost about 30 points until the last few minutes of the class. The rest I lost arguing about how unfair he was"

"Let start at the beginning. How did you lose those 30 points" Buffy put a hand on Dawn's arm for comfort.

"Okay, before class started we thought he would try to take points away form Gryffinor for what you did yesterday" Buffy nodded and let her continue. "We told the others to be on guard and behave. But there was Neville. You saw how nervous he was in this class, you should see him in Snape's. He isn't one of the brightest students" Buffy smiled. She had noticed. "Anyway somebody had to be a buffer between him and Snape. So I volunteered"

"Being the sacrificial lamb" Buffy interrupted. "For you thought he couldn't take points away from Gryffinor. You being a guest and all. Smart. You have no trouble convincing Albus" Dawn smiled. "Continue"

"Where was I. Oh, yeah volunteering. He would pick on me anyway, being your sister" Buffy rolled her eyes. "So I was giving Neville moral support, calmed him down and made sure he was breathing. I lost those point for speaking out of turn and other little things. We were lucky it seemed I was the only one losing points. That proofs he was picking on me"

Buffy smile and hold her sisters hand on the table. "I believe you. It is just the thing he would do"

"He didn't thought it was enough. So he told Neville to make a potion without my help. He was doing well with my help. I've seem to have a talent for potion making" Dawn smile proudly. "There was a ingredient missing. Newt eyes. I saw salamander eyes on the table"

"Newt eyes?" Buffy was thinking. She remembered something. " And salamander eyes. I remember Giles saying they are exchangeable"

"Yeah, salamander eyes are cheaper. That's how I remembered. I told Neville to breath, then to separate the ingredients he didn't use and then to look in his book. Snape saw it as helping and deducted points for it"

"So technically you did help him, but I can see your point of view. So I expect now comes the part where you lose big" Buffy was listening interested.

"I started to tell him how unfair it was to set somebody up to fail. Bam, he deduct point. Then I told him he was picking on us, because you deducted point from his House and that it was childish. Then I told him he was jealous at you for being better at scaring the students" Buffy laughed. "Then the bell rang"

"And you told him he couldn't take the points away from Gryffinor. Wish I was there to see his face" They both laughed.

"He shouldn't have messed with Summers women?"

"Especially if one of them is a hair puller" Buffy added. "Is there anything else?"

Dawn looked a little ashamed. "I think I called him a bad teacher. I said to him that there are no bad students only bad teachers" Dawn shrank a little.

"And is he?" Dawn made a 'eh' expression. "Is a bad teacher?"

Dawn thought about it. "Well, he is impatient and can be spiteful, but he is knowledgeable and I did learn something from him today"

Buffy stood up. "Lets go. I'm famished"

Dawn picked her stuff and followed Buffy out of the room.

"So you like potion making" Buffy asked.

Dawn answered enthusiastic. "It is like chemistry, but literally anything can happen. It is magic without really using magic" Dawn went on what she had learn to day.

Buffy stopped her before they reached the Great Hall. "Do you think you are good at making potion"

"Well so far it wasn't too difficult"

"I think I just found the perfect punishment for you" Buffy had a nice grin on her face.

"Punishment" Dawn squealed.

"Don't worry. It is going to be a double punishment. For you and Snape. I'm going to make you his teacher's assistant"

Dawn smile brightened. "He is going to hate it. And working for Snape is punishment in itself"

"You got holes in your schedule, that could be filled by you helping Snape. We even can rearrange you schedule a little bit"

"Of course I'm hating this" Dawn expressed and Buffy laughed.

"Lets go inside before they think I did something horrible to you" They entered the Great Hall only a few of the students and teachers noticed them. They walked by the Gryffinor table and overheard the twins.

"Told you Fred. He would be the one to walk into it with his mouth open" "We were lucky, that he found it out in front of the Professor" They laughed. The other didn't. They saw Buffy behind the twins.

Ron was the first to speak. "Buffy is a very beautiful name"

"Very pretty" Hermione added.

"Wish it was my name" Ginny also had her say.

Harry couldn't be left out. "Wish I had a big sister with that name" Harry smiled directly at Buffy, who smiled back.

"Why are you all... oh ooh" "She is be hind us" Both boys were shrinking especially when she put a hand on each one's shoulder.

"Boys, am I presuming right that you are the famous Weasley's twins?" Both boy looked up and nodded with stupid grins.

Buffy grinned back more evilly. "Albus warned me about you two. Pranksters. I also heard half of the conversation. Tell me if I'm right. The whole Mr. Malfoy insulted me could have been avoided, if one of you fine upstanding gentlemen had warned him"

"Yes, Professor Summers" They answered simultaneous and quickly.

"10 points each. For not preventing a Professor being insulted" She looked disappointed at them.

"We are sorry, Professor" "We won't do it again, Professor" They looked very ashamed. "At least we try" "With us you never know" They gave her a little smile.

Buffy couldn't help but smile. "Because of the sincerer apology. I'm going only deduct 5 point each. But the next time I'm going to double it, when I going to catch you guys"

"You wont" There was a moment of silence. "Catch us" The other twin said. They both looked very innocent.

Buffy just shook her head. "I'm serious thinking about triple it" She turned toward Dawn. "Xander would love these guys. Dawn, enjoy the rest of the day. I have an appointment with Snape and Albus. Bye" She turned to the others. "Enjoy your lunch"

Buffy turned her back and walked to the teacher's table.

"Okay, it's now official. She is my favoured Professor" Ron looked admired at Buffy.

"I agree with icky Ronkin" "Second that motion" "Any Professor, who can handle us" "And can't stay mad at us" "We have to love"The twin's faces were half serious.

"She is a good teacher" Hermione mentioned.

Dawn sat next to the twins and put her arms in the air. "Why don't you guys start a Buffy fanclub" She said with an irritated voice.

"Oh, really" Ron didn't hear the sarcasm. Dawn gave him the look. "Sorry"

Harry was enjoying the banter. He looked away and saw that Snape was joining Buffy and Dumbledore. He thought out loud. "I wonder what they are talking about?"

They all looked at the teacher's table. "Oh, they are talking about my punishment. This can be fun" They looked confused at Dawn. Dawn looked at the twin with a grimace. "How do I look?"

"Annoyed" "Pissed off" The twins answered helpfully.

"Good. Keep your eyes on Snape. My sister isn't only gonna punish me, but also him" They returned the attention to the teacher's table. They couldn't hear nothing. But Dumbledore looked amused, Buffy had a straight face and Snape was snarling.

"Okay, wait. 10, 9, 8,.." Dawn was counting down. "5, 4, 3 ."

Snape looked shocked and then yelled. "What! No Bloody way" Snape quickly dropped his voice to a whisper, when he noticed that everybody was watching him. He looked angry. Dumbledore still looked amused. And Buffy kept her face straight. You could see that Snape was losing the argument. Everybody was looking already at them and Dumbledore made use of it.

"Student, attention please" The hall went quiet. "It seems, that Miss. Summers had a very productive first class" His tone made it sure he meant it dubious. "Snape was impressed with her talent with potion making. Miss. Summers seems to have a few holes in her schedule so she volunteered to assist him with a few first trough third years classes" Dumbledore started with clapping, which the students quickly took over.

Hermione was dumbstruck. "I have no idea if I should congratulate you or condole you"

"He's going to make you live a Bloody Hell"

"Don't swear, Ron" Both Hermione and Ginny said.

Dawn laughed. "He wouldn't dare. My sister wouldn't let him. Plus I'm not a kid anymore, I can handle one mad Professor"

"We know you can" "But if you need back up" "We have a lot of resources at your disposal" Both twins grinned.

Dawn gave them a warm smile. "I'll keep it in mind. But I don't think my sister is going to like the help you two would provide" Dawn thought for a moment. "That would be a good reason to accept it" She gave them both an evil smile.

Both boys were in a temporary shock. But then mirrored her grin. "We knew there was more to her than a pretty face" "She got a nice mean streak in her" Dawn blushed when they said she was pretty.

Ron didn't notice it clearly before. "Oh, Fred and George are in love with a girl" Hermione poked him and Ginny giggled. Dawn blushed even more. The twin responded with throwing food at Ron. Who threw it back. Dawn glanced for a moment over the Slytherin table. And saw Draco smirking at her. That annoyed Dawn, she took a piece of pie and when Draco looked away for a moment she threw it him. Square in the face. There was a moment of silence. One of the twin stood up and yelled. "Food fight" "For the honour of Gryffinor" And hell broke lose.

The food fight didn't even last a minute. But a mess it made. It was Professor McGonagall, who was the one who broke it up. Most of the Professors were amused. Buffy even laughed. Snape had even and invisible smirk. "I heard 'Food fight' and 'Gryffinor'. The voices resembled the Weasley's. Will the person or persons, who started this mess come in front and centre"

The Weasleys were busted and they knew it. They stood up and went with head down to the Professor. Dawn followed them, she felt guilty. She threw the first pie. Dawn picked a piece of pumpkin out of her hair and threw it on the floor. Buffy just shook her head in disappointed. Dawn looked down ashamed.

"Well, it seems I'm correct. Fred and George Weasley" She looked at Dawn. "And how do you fit in this, Miss. Summers" She gave Dawn a stern look.

"I threw the first pie at Draco, Professor McGonagall"

"No she didn't" "We started throwing food first" The twins trying to take the blame.

But Dawn didn't let them. "They only threw some food at their brother. I threw it across the room to wipe that stupid smirk of Draco's face. He was staring at me" She said it a little annoyed.

"I see. 20 points from Gryffinor. Plus one weeks worth of detention for all three with Mr. Filch" She turned to the other students. "You got 10 minutes to clean up before next class" The Great Hall was quickly empty of students.

Dumbledore turned to Buffy. "Do you think your sister can stay out of trouble for rest of the day" He was smiling very innocently.

"She might start another food fight at dinner" Buffy very sweetly answered back.

This got a reaction from Duncan, who laughed. "The little spitfire seemed to attract trouble, like a pegasus flies"

"Oh, Merlin help me" Snape uttered. "If she is going to assist me. She is going to blow up my basement for sure" Dumbledore couldn't hold it anymore and laughed out loud. Snape stood up and left with a snarl.

Duncan followed Snape example and also stood up. "I think it is time to go back to prepare for our next class, Buffy" He nodded to the other. "Gents. Ma'ams" And walked away, quickly followed by Buffy.

The rest of the day went uneventful. After classes Buffy went to sit in a nice comfy chair in the teacher's room. Some of the other Professors were also there. She took the book Dawn gave her and open on the first page.

"In a time when darkness ruled, there was born a girl like in each generation. A Chosen One born with the strength and skill to fight the vampires and other creatures of the night. She was the Slayer"

Buffy laughed a few times about the capers of the Slayer and her friends. But then.

"Sara came to late. The cottage of her parents was in flames. She stormed toward the cottage, but her lover David stopped her. She couldn't fight him and broke down in his arms and shed all the tears she had left for the mother and father"

Buffy shed a few tears for her sister slayer. The Slayer in the story pulled herself back together with the help of her friends and went after the Dark Wizard who killed her parents. She found him in a dark cave separated from her friends, she faced the Wizard alone.

"The cavern was dark and damped. Sara used all her senses to find the Wizard. From behind she could hear the beginning of the death curse. She raised her sword and reflected the curse back with her sword and it hit the wizard right in his chest. He dropped dead in a heartbeat. His death didn't make Sara feel better. But at least she stopped him form harming others and her parents's memory could rest in peace"

This made Buffy feel content. The other Professors left for dinner and left her alone. A house elf brought her something to drink and to eat. She thanked him and he left. Buffy continued with her reading. In the next chapter the Slayer's lover was taken by a band of vampires. Again she came to late to rescue her love ones. But this time it was worse, they turned him into a Vampire. She killed the whole nest, but couldn't kill him.

Buff shed another tear. She put the book down and thought about her and Angel. After keeping her emotion in check, she read the next chapter in which her lover terrorised the countryside. She went to her Watcher Merlin for help. He sent her on a quest to find herself. Sara went to a place in the wilderness guided by an animal spirit.

Buffy recognized the quest. The Slayer lightened a fire and waited. The spirit of the Slayer came to her.

" 'What can I do for you, my child?' The spirit asked. 'Where do I find the strength to defeat my Beloved?' The Slayer asked. 'You find the strength within you. Death is your gift.' The spirit answered. 'I don't want to be a loveless and coldless killer.' The Slayer responded sadly back. 'You are full of love, my child. Death is your gift.' This was the last words of the spirit before she disappeared. "

"Oh, my god" Realization hit her in the face. She went on reading. Sara returned to her watcher and with her friends, they went after her Beloved. The battle was fierce. At the end only she and her beloved were fighting. They fought with swords.

"She disarmed him, put her sword through his heart and whispered in his ear. 'I love you.' She then pulled her sword out of his heart, made a pirouette and cut off his head. He turned into ashes. Her knees bolted and she dropped down on her knees in front of the ashes of her beloved"

Buffy had to wipe of her tears. The slayer's friends found her that way. The heart of the Slayer was broken and still. Her friends wept for her and gathered the ashes of her beloved. They prepared her burial fire. They scattered his ashes on her before they lit it. At height of the flames the Slayer's phoenix flew into the fire and out of the flames rose two figures. The Slayer and her beloved rose from the flames cleansed.

"They had a new start and from that day on, they lived a happy and long life together. For the duties of the Slayer wasn't up on her no more. The end"

Buffy held the book close to her heart with crossed arms, put her knees up and started crying and smiling at the same time. She let her tears flow down her cheeks. This was the first time in a long while she felt so good about herself and that's how Snape found her.

He couldn't believe, that this fragile looking woman could intimidate him. He almost wanted to go to her and hold her in his arms. But instead he walked to her and stopped in front of her. She didn't noticed him or ignored him. The second was likely. "Stop crying it is annoying me"

She looked up at him and gave him her best smile. "Okay" She was wiping her tears off.

This confused Snape even more. She was listening to him and doing what he told her. "Why are you crying and smiling at the same time?"

"Because the story is true"

Without thinking Snape responded. "No, it isn't"

"It gives me hope" She went on as if Snape didn't say nothing. "For the first time in a long while I have hope"

Snape couldn't believe it. For the first time he met her, he couldn't sense any hidden sadness or even the coldness or indifference. The warmed that came from the girl was even touching his heart. "It still doesn't make it true"

She looked up at him and smiled. "Need to see Dawn" She stood up. "Dinner is over. Right"

Snape just nodded. "Yes, and no food fight" There was a small smirk on his mouth.

"Then she is probable in the dormitory" She was talking to herself. She walked away out of the teacher's room leaving as stunned and confused Snape. Buffy moved quickly toward the Gryffinor dormitory. At the portal she remembered she didn't ask Dumbledore for the passwords of all the Houses.

"Open the door. I need to see my sister" She said demanding.

"What is the password?" Said the Fatlady in the picture.

"You better.." Buffy stopped and thought of breaking it open. But rethought it. It would be overkill. Instead she bonked on the door. "Hello! I want to speak to my sister. Open the door!" She repeated the last part with more strict. "Open the 'door'!"

Shortly after the door opened. Behind it stood Neville. He looked scared at her. She just gave him a warm smile and entered. Scared replaced confused and worried. He saw the tears swollen eyes.

Buffy looked around the common room, there were a lot of students watching her, but no Dawn. Buffy talked to Neville again. "Where is Dawn?"

Neville pointed to the girl's dormitory. "Girl's d..."

"Thanks" She didn't let Neville finish and walked into the girl's dormitory. She yelled. "Dawn!"

Dawn poked her head out of one of the door. "Buffy?" Buffy came toward her quickly. Dawn saw the tears. "Is everything alright?"

"Yes" Buffy pushed her inside and closed the door behind her. "I'm fine" The glance she gave Hermione and Ginny was the only acknowledgement she gave them, that they were even in the room. She lead Dawn to the empty bed and sat next to her and showed her the book.

"You read it?" Dawn asked excited. Buffy nodded. "And?"

"I think it is true" Buffy smiled and shed some more tears. She was beaming. "I'm not sure about the resurrection, but I think this one made it"

"A long and happy life?" Dawn's eyes were swelling from unshed tears. "With kids and grandchildren?"

"I bet they had as many as the Weasley's" Buffy grinned. Dawn laughed and let her tears lose. They hold hands and leant into each other with the heads touching. They didn't move for a while. Buffy looked up. "You look terrible"

"Oh, yeah. Look in the mirror and tell me again, how terrible I look" Dawn said with amusement.

Hermione and Ginny looked awkward to the sisters. Hermione took the brave step. "Excuse me? May we know, what's going on?"

Buffy gave Hermione a warm smile. She involuntarily smiled back. Buffy gave her the Book. "The story is true. It is based on a true events"

"Really?" Ginny asked.

"I recognize too many of it, to be pure fiction. Plus my heart says me that the ending is true" She pause a moment. "The ending gives me hope" She let a few tears glide down her cheeks. She stood up and looked down at Dawn. "I look like a mess. Where are the bathrooms?"

"Go left and the third door on the right"

"Thanks" She walked out of the room. They could hear her outside. "I'm not familiar with all the school rules, but I'm sure there is a rule 'No boys' in the girl's dormitory" They heard swift feets walking, stumbling or running away.

Ginny giggled and Hermione was surprised. "Wow, even with tearful eyes she can scare people" Hermione turned to Dawn. "What did she mean with 'This one made it'?"

Dawn had a sad expression. "Slayers rarely survived to celebrate their 18 birthday" Ginny gasped in shock. Hermione looked sad. "They live fast and die young"

"And I thought it was glamourous to be a Slayer. All the adventures. Fighting evil and being an hero" Ginny mentioned sadly.

"Oh, being a Slayer has its moments. For one you can kick any badass in the world" Dawn said to lighten the mood.

Ginny giggled. "I bet you sister would make a great slayer"

Dawn was a little shocked, but didn't show it. She smiled, but before she could react a voice from the door interrupted her.

"Well, thank you. Miss. Weasley, right?" The voice was Buffy's and she looked more representable. She was still a little red around the eyes, but she looked fine.

Ginny wanted to answer, but then thought off something. "No, my name is Ginny Rosenberg. Professor" She had a real big smile on her face. You could see that she wanted to burst out in laughter.

Buffy saw it. "Any relative of Willow?" Ginny couldn't hold it anymore and jumped head first into her pillow. You could hear her muffled giggles.

Buffy turned to Dawn. "Must be the twins influence" She turned to Hermione. "I double the credits if you find proof, that this story is real"

Hermione beamed. "Thank you, Professor"

Buffy stood up and turned to Dawn. "I'm beginning to like people calling me Professor"

"Just because it makes you feel smarter than you are" Dawn bantered back. Buffy swinged at her head and deliberately missed her. Ginny giggled.

"Professor Summers"

"Buffy. If we are not in class"

"Buffy. I was wondering about the extra class at Friday"

"Yes?"

"Could I attend it?" Hermione asked seriously. Dawn and Buffy had the same expression.

Buffy turned to Dawn. "You think she has a fever?"

"She must have the Willow bug" Dawn retorted.

"No, not even Willow would volunteer for a class, that sounded like detention" Buffy looked at Hermione to explain herself.

"So, it is detention?" Hermione asked Buffy curiously.

Buffy grinned. "I can tell you this. There is nothing what I'm going to teach, that you don't already know" Hermione thought about this. "You're welcome to attend and if you don't like it, you can quit without consequence"

Hermione smiled. Buffy shook her head. She reminded her so much of Willow. She missed Willow. "I think it is time for me to go. I have some Professor things to do. See you tomorrow. Ginny, Hermione"

"Good night, Professor Buffy" Ginny and Hermione said in union. Buffy left the room smiling with Dawn following her.

"Are you going patrol tonight?" Dawn asked.

"Yes, I'm going to London. Duncan heard of a nest near Piccadilly in the metro"

"And afterwards you going clubbing? Can I come?" Danw almost begged.

"No, it is a school night. Plus Students are only allowed to leave school ground at Hogmeade's weekends"

"You could convince Dumbledore to let me go"

"I could, but I won't"

Dawn was pouting. "That's unfair"

"By now you should know live isn't fair" Buffy retorted back. They entered the common room bickering and heads turned. Buffy overlooked the room and found what she was looking for. "Weasleys! Front and centre" She yelled.

She was only looking at the twins. So Ron stayed put and hoped she would overlook him. Lucky for him she only wanted the twins. They stood in front of her straight as a arrow. They were one of the boys, who were listen at the door.

Buffy gave them a faint smile. "One. It is very rude to spy on somebody's private conversation. Two. It is ruder to gossip about it" She was only looking at the twins, but talking to the rest in the common room. The boys looked ashamed down. "But I'm in a very good mood today. I'll forgive you" That brightened their faces up. "I'm in such a good mood I give the points back I took from you today" There was a big grin on both boys faces. Buffy wasn't finished. "You can tell the same to Draco tomorrow"

She turned to Harry. "Can we talk outside for a moment" Harry nodded. "Goodnight, Dawn"

"Goodnight, Buffy" Dawn replied.

Buffy walked out of the door with Harry behind him. "Do we have to, Professor?" One of the twins whined" Buffy just smiled at him and before the door closed. "I think, that means a yes" The other twin said.

"Those two are hilarious. It's a miracle, they didn't blow up the school" That brought back memories of her blowing up her school at graduation. It was fun. Not the mayorsnake, but the blowing up the school.

"Professor?" harry asked. Buffy was drifting in space.

"Oh sorry. I was drifting in a nice memory. I wanted to talk with you about Dawn" Buffy was interrupted by Harry.

"Didn't tell nobody. Not even Ron of Hermione" Harry quickly said.

Buffy gave him a reassuring smile. "I knew you wouldn't. Did you speak to Dumbledore today about Dawn" Harry shook his head. "Why not?" Buffy sounded surprised.

"What ever Dawn is, she isn't evil and if Dumbledore knows about her she can't be dangerous to us. Plus I like Dawn and I don't want people to stare at her because she is different" Harry looked a little sad. Buffy saw it.

Buffy put a hand on Harry shoulder. "It is hard to be The Boy Who Lived. But you are a good man. Destiny put it on your shoulder, because you can handle it"

Harry looked confused. "How do you know, that I can handle it"

She gave him an evil grin. "You are still around, aren't you" That made Harry laughed. "Now go to Dumbledore and he will tell you what you need to know"

"But it is almost curfew"

"Go, it is important and I'm sure that Dumbledore will give you a hallpass" Buffy gave him a reassuring smile and walked away. Harry followed her, because she walked in the direction of Dumbledore's office.
